About the Role
Retailogists is looking for an Analytics Engineer to join our engineering team. You’ll own the design, delivery, and optimization of business-critical dashboards that turn data into action.
Responsibilities
Develop a deep understanding of analytics and BI in the retail and e-commerce domain
Build and maintain scalable, high-impact dashboards
Create and optimize datasets
Take end to end ownership of the BI and Analytics Layer
Work across multiple stacks for different clients (AWS, GCP, Azure).
Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and product teams
Work on other interesting projects with different tech stacks
Qualifications
Excellent SQL skills with an ability to translate ambiguous data requests into precise queries
A business-focused mindset with an obsession to deliver business value
Excellent communicator and strong team collaborator
2–3 years in Analytics Engineering / BI Development
Strong hands-on experience with at least one BI framework: Metabase or AWS QuickSight preferred
Solid understanding of AWS data services (S3, Athena, Redshift)
Experience with a distributed data warehouse: Bigquery / Snowflake / Redshift etc.
Experience with Semantic Modelling – DBT or similar tools
Experience with dashboard UX, data visualization, and storytelling
Comfortable translating business needs into reliable analytics solutions
Experience with using modern Gen AI in engineering workflows (for example: Cursor, Claude, etc.)
Nice to have
Retail, fashion, or wholesale experience (ERP / supply chain a plus)
Relevant open source profile or academic/industry collaborations
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science / Analytics, Computer Science or any related field
